Une trentaine de délégués des organisations membres du Réseau européen Eglises et Liberté d’une quinzaine de pays européens, attachés à concrétiser les orientations du Concile Vatican II se sont réunis à Londres du 7 au 10 mai autour du thème « Spiritualité et Genre ».
Ils ont adopté les lignes d'action suivantes:
1- Face à la crise globale, économique, financière, sociale et écologique, qui est également définie comme une crise générale de l’ordre patriarcal qui se reflète aussi dans la crise ecclésiale, il faut construire un nouveau modèle d'économie au service des enfants, des hommes et des femmes, un ordre financier transparent et contraignant et remettre en cause le primat du principe de la concurrence. A la veille des élections au Parlement européen, le Réseau adresse aux institutions de l'Union européenne un appel pour un ordre financier mondial régulé et pour une Europe sociale. Ses membres s’engagent à intervenir sur ces sujets auprès des autorités politiques de l'Union européenne et de leur pays. Il poursuivra sa mobilisation pour une politique de l’immigration de l’Union Européenne respectueuse des droits et pour la solidarité visà- vis des migrants.

2- Dans le cadre de son activité d'organisation de conviction auprès des institutions de l’Union Européenne et s’appuyant sur son statut participatif auprès du Conseil de l’Europe, le Réseau Européen Eglises et Libertés décide de s’engager dans un dialogue « ouvert, transparent et régulier » selon les principes démocratiques du traité de Lisbonne, pour faire entendre une voix de catholiques de base car la COMECE, commission technique des épiscopats de l'Union européenne ne saurait reflèter la diversité d'opinion des catholiques. Il poursuivra son activité au sein du Groupe de travail multipartis « Séparation de la Religion et de la Politique » du Parlement Européen.

3- Le projet d’un concile du Peuple de Dieu (Concile-50) sera poursuivi en coordination avec les projets en cours dans d’autres continents (Canada, USA, Amérique Latine, Australie et ailleurs). 4- Pour que tous les habitants de pays du Sud riches en ressources naturelles puissent en bénéficier, les groupes membres du Réseau sont invités à adhérer à l’association « Publiez ce que vous payez » et à en soutenir les militants engagés en Afrique.
5- Il sera envoyé aux évêques d'Amérique Centrale une lettre les appelant à accorder la première priorité de leur travail pastoral à la lutte pour la justice de genre et contre la violence faites aux femmes.
Thirty delegates of member organisations of the European Network Church on the Move from fifteen European countries committed to putting into action the lines of the Council Vatican II met in London from 7 to 10 May to discuss the topic « Spirituality and Gender ».
They agreed the following:
1- In the face of the global, economic, financial, social and ecological crisis which is also a general crisis of the patriarcal order that is mirrored too in the church crisis, one is bound to set up a new model of economy in the service of children, men and women, a transparent and binding financial order and question the primacy of the principle of competition. On the eve of the election at the European Parliament, the Network addresses an appeal to the European Union towards a regulated world financial order and a social Europe. Its members commit themselves to take steps about these problems towards the political authorities of the European Union and in their respective countries. It will carry on its mobilisation towards an immigration policy of the European Union respectful of the rights of migrants and solidarity with them.

2- Within the framework of its activity with the institutions of the European Union as a conviction-based organisation, and availing itself of its participatory status to the Council of Europe the European Network Church on the Move decides to engage into an «open, transparent and regular» dialogue according to the democratic principles of the Lisbon treaty, with a view to make a voice of base Catholics heard, as the COMECE, the technical commission of European Union episcopates, has not the capacity to reflect the diversity of Catholic opinion. It will carry on its activity in the European Parliament All Party Working Group « Separation of Religion and Politics».

3- The project of a council of the People of God (Council-50) will be carried on in coordination with the projects under way on other continents (Canada, USA, South America, Australia and elsewhere).
4- So that the peoples of the South countries rich in natural resources can make profit of these the member groups of the Network are invited to join the association « Publish what you pay » and support its activists committed in Africa.
5- Bishops of Central America will be sent a letter calling on them to place as first priority in their pastoral work the fight for gender justice ad against violence to women.
